IRCLAMA Library

Since its foundation, the IRC for Late Antiquity and Middle Ages has been working on developing a library specialized in the medieval period. The books for the library are obtained primarily through exchange for Hortus Artium Medievalium and Dissertationes et Monographiae; however, very important in building the library’s fund were substantial donations by the French Embassy in Croatia (in 1995 and 1996), W. C. Loerke (in 2005), Alain Erlande Brandenburg and Bénédicte Mérel Brandenburg (in 2016), as well as numerous donations by our colleagues and supporters.

The library of the IRC for Late Antiquity and Middle Ages is located at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Zagreb and today it is one of the best equipped Croatian libraries for the field of Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages, thus regularly used by a great number of Croatian experts as well as art history students.
